Originally we thought we might need a lot of retaining structure to hold back the hill but as we regraded it became apparent that we could return the hill to its original grade without any retaining walls.
On the back of the house where the heat pump sits we have been able to use a few large rocks remaining from the excavation.
So that just leaves the area by the second bedroom. Here want a small patio, enough for a table and two chairs, so some kind of wall is needed.
