A little more action in the machine room

 The heating will be an Air to Water heat pump supplied from Canada by Arctic Heat Pumps. The pump will be outside the house heating a glycol/water mixture which is then stored in a buffer tank (brown one in the picture). From here it is drawn to radiators and some radiant floor through the valves seen on the wall.

A copper coil runs through the buffer tank through which the domestic hot water runs. This pre heats it before it enters the standard hot water heater (gray Westinghouse on the left in picture).
